Siblings

lyrics

Siblings//

Been watching the violence again,
how could you not?
Weakness becoming silence and apathy.

Vehemently struggling,
against the course,
of rivers rushing rampant,
with misery,
and tetanus.

Locked jaws cannot scream,
for reprieve,
or anything that they may need.

In pain as it writhes,
left screaming pierced through both sides.
Offal flowing out of the ends,
left up until completely dead.

We've been defined,
as unworthy of love,
by a graceful God,
among men with too much of it.

We are the sons,
and daughters,
of rust and grief.
